The individual grafts, which contain 1-3 hairs (or more precisely hair follicles) are removed one after the other by means of a small, specially developed needle from the donor area on the back of the head and implanted in negligible openings in the transplantation area.

For the period from the removal to the implanting the grafts are placed in a special solution, which protects them against external influences and contains a whole range of substances supporting the subsequent "taking" of the grafts and healing. The implantation openings are made with a similar special needle that has the same shape as the grafts and therefore they fit together perfectly.
